From The Wakefield Cycle Directed by Sam Williams
Based on a classic Medieval mystery play, this story tells the tale of a humorous trio of shepherds searching for their stolen sheep. Where it leads is full of surprises, including “Everyman’s” attempt to avoid the grim reaper, and a visit from an Angel, culminating in a spiritual story of the shepherds’ miraculous visit to the Christ Child’s birth. This lively adaptation melds music (rap, hip-hop, jazz, and gospel), dancing and celebration to bring their ancient world to vivid life!
